Being on your periods is one of the most emotional times of the month for any women. From experiencing aches and pains to being emotional and let’s not talk about the break out of pimples.
According to @pinkparcel “If it’s not enough that we bleed and have cramps each month, some of us also get to experience the joy that is painful breasts during our period. Sore breasts are just another symptom of PMS but it can affect some women more than others. ” This so true right and the worst for some women.
@pinkparcel explains that the pain is thanks to oestrogen, which peaks mid-cycle, causing breast ducts to become enlarged. After your period, along comes progesterone, which causes your milk glands to grow.
On their website, there are wonderful things that you can try to ease the pain but I have decided to make a boobie balm which was inspired by @rebootedmom
1 tbsp beeswax
2 tbsp unrefined coconut oil
2 tbsp shea butter
15 drops of lavender essential from Clicks
To make: In a glass canning jar, mix the shea, coconut oil and beeswax in the microwave, 25-30 seconds at a time until melted. Carefully remove from the microwave and let sit for 1-2 minutes. Add the Essential Oil and pour into your jar – allow to sit until cooled, avoid touching the top with your fingers.
